This is a great article and a really aggrevating article at the same time. Sure I want other people to do most of those things listed on proper cellphone etiquette but when I’m being told to do something or follow someones rule whom I dont know I get ticked. I mean who are you to be saying do this and do that because I want it? Back to the main response I do hate it when poeple do things like that. I mean your talking to your friend then he/she walks off to take a unimportant phone call from another friend. Grrrrrrrr.
I was also suprised on the back by the fact that cellphones have radiation. I always thought it was a myth or something. Something that wasn’t real, just a tell that parents use to get kids to talk to them or to stop using phones. I mean I guess I’m lucky since I have a Samsung (the brand that has the most non-radioactive phones) but still I wouldn’t have bet on cellphone radiation till now. Another thing to worry about in our lives because of technological advances. Sighhhh.
To put the two together in one emotion is suprise. Suprise that there was radiation and suprise that people are finnally saying don’t do this. Suprise that I finnally read a article like this and suprise that we still have HW.

This is interesting…. Will people I know that are 2-3 years younger than me think I’m hoplessly out of date? Will they think of me as a old timer by the time I’m thirty? Will I be saying “Back in my day we only watched T.V. that didn’t project as a 3d hologram.”? Will they openly accept technology while I would have to be coaxed into using it? So many questions arise from this one article that it makes my head spin.
Another question that springs to mind is a question every generation asks of itself… What is yet to come? Will there be flying cars? Are there going to be holograms? Ahhhh the endless creativity and imagination of the human mind. So what will come? When I was a kid I thought a gameboy (the big clunky one) and a nintendo was cool and now I think fast computers and awsome HD videogames that you can play online on the PS3 are the bomb. That’s only a 10 year (ish) time span to. Will there be flying cars in 10 years? Holograms? The possibilitys are endless at this rate.
Yet again the most asked question is will I live long enough to see mankind reach it’s maximum potential on this earth? Will we finnally reach the end and have to venture for other earths like ours? Will our creativity ever end? The likely question is no. Mankind will never stop inventing, never stop creating and never stop imagining.

I agree with the point this article is making. We need the internet or we are going to be left behind. Everything is going to the internet so if we dont go with the flow we are going to be miserably lost and left behind. I also agree that even if you have internet it better be fast or your going to be left behind just as if you had no internet. I mean our world is a world of computers and quick knowledge. I also know that sure some people cant afford the effort and money it takes to actually get internet to their houses so they automatically get left behind. Sure you can help the stragglers but you really need to get them internet or their chances of staying in the job flow goes down and then they lose their job. So I guess the point I’m seeing and obviously so is the government is this, If you don’t have internet in this high-tech world your are going to be reduced to having no job or not having the ability to get a job.
2. Why are some households “unwired” even though they live in places that are reached by broadband cables? List three reasons cited in the article.
1. Fear of Computers 2. Not knowing how to use a computer 3. Slow internet connections 4. Not enough money
6. Is nonadoption of broadband a serious social problem the government needs to fix? Explain.
No it isn’t a serious social problem but it is a economic problem the government needs to fix. Sure it may affect your social life but if you can’t get a job because you don’t have internet is a problem the government needs to fix. Since so many people these days are without jobs it makes this a serious problem because we need the economy to go up. I mean if you can’t even apply for a job how are you going to get one and keep you or your family running?

This article is starting to make the states sound like another civil war is going to start. I mean come on, nullification of federal law? Isn’t that one of the things that started the civil war? (Not including slavery which was the main problem) I mean come on, “I don’t want this in my state and I dont want this…” makes the states sound like little babies. But I have to admit that the Federal Government should back down. I mean you have this law that a ton of people hate and think it’s a hazard to their safety, I wonder if we should keep it?
I mean you have to admit that something that for one so many people and states don’t like and also is a possible hazard to your safety to protect yourself you really should just take a step back. So ya that’s about the end of my rant on states rights and stuff sooooo….. I have nothing else to say.
3. If the states rights cause loses in court, can they have any affect on policy?
I guess they could considering they are doing some of the same things we did a few hundred years ago and this might make the federal government see a cause for change but i doubt it. I mean come on if you were lets say 500 years old would you be able to instantly change your ways? I don’t think so but some others may have a different opinion. So ya I guess they might be able to change it a little bit but not enough to make a huge difference.
7. Why does the Federal government exist? What are some activities that have to be done at the federal level?
The federal government exists to rule over the fifty united states. Its like the glue for a model airplane. It keeps us together and as one we achieve great things. Some activities are things that deal with more than one state, unconstitutional laws, etc…

This article shows me that greedy monopolists will never change and bring prices down. They always look for the really big thing then spike the prices high enough to where they will still go but low enough to where they will come back. For me this is the reason why I go to movies maybe once or twice every few months and only to see a movie that I really want to see. Also including the rating (unless I don’t think it’s true) I choose wether to go or not and now the increased prices for a extra thrill in the movie seat is a new negative for me. I agree that 3d prices should be a bit higher than a regular movie ticket but still to move it up over 10% might cause me not to go to the movies anytime in the near future. I mean come on I want to have money left in my wallet when I come out the movie theater instead of being sucked dry before I even walk into the door.
Basically all i’m saying is that this shows that greedy business men will never change their ways and keep on trying to hoarde all the money they can untill they are dead. I also have a feeling that their profits wont change because some people will stop going to the movies but since there was a increase in price the remaining movie-watchers will fill in that vacancy.

This is so true!!!!! I can’t help but agree with this guy on many points (not all) in his article. I know this wouldn’t be considered a article but more a comedy part but hey it is a pick your own article of the week. So yaaa…. I’m completely in agreement with this guy.
As he said I can’t help but notice these patterns in the game where there are either 10 recon classes, a.k.a snipers, or there are only a few good ones on your team. It does get annoying when they all fire at you right when you spawn and get a marksman headshot. I mean really… GET A LIFE AND ACTUALLY DEFEND OR HELP THE ASSAULT!!!! That was mean but true. I hate those people and I always try to provoke them to at least chase me into a real battle. When I say provoke I mean grenade at their feet.
Ok now for the bad helicopter pilot. I do admit that I was that bad at once but come on the controls are hard! The real reason I agree with him is that when a heli appears they all race towards it and get in and die, thus ruining your chance for a upper hand in the fight. If you played you would know. I mean they insist on flying and then they do a backflip causing you to lose 10 points and get a suicide.
Just in case here’s the link

Here are the definitions just to start out on this one page homework assignment.
Idealism–noun 1. the cherishing or pursuit of high or noble principles, purposes, goals, etc.2. the practice of idealizing.3. something idealized; an ideal representation.4. Fine Arts. treatment of subject matter in a work of art in which a mental conception of beauty or form is stressed, characterized usually by the selection of particular features of various models and their combination into a whole according to a standard of perfection. Compare naturalism (def. 2), realism (def. 3a).5. Philosophy. a. any system or theory that maintains that the real is of the nature of thought or that the object of external perception consists of ideas.b. the tendency to represent things in an ideal form, or as they might or should be rather than as they are, with emphasis on values.
Realism–noun 1. interest in or concern for the actual or real, as distinguished from the abstract, speculative, etc.2. the tendency to view or represent things as they really are.3. Fine Arts. a. treatment of forms, colors, space, etc., in such a manner as to emphasize their correspondence to actuality or to ordinary visual experience. Compare idealism (def. 4), naturalism (def. 2).b. (usually initial capital letter) a style of painting and sculpture developed about the mid-19th century in which figures and scenes are depicted as they are experienced or might be experienced in everyday life.4. Literature. a. a manner of treating subject matter that presents a careful description of everyday life, usually of the lower and middle classes.b. a theory of writing in which the ordinary, familiar, or mundane aspects of life are represented in a straightforward or matter-of-fact manner that is presumed to reflect life as it actually is. Compare naturalism (def. 1b).5. Philosophy. a. the doctrine that universals have a real objective existence. Compare conceptualism, nominalism.b. the doctrine that objects of sense perception have an existence independent of the act of perception. Compare idealism (def. 5a).
Soooo yaaa. There they are. I had to delete the spaces or it would of taken up way to much space. Heres what I have to say is the difference between the two. One is wanting something to be better or like it should be while the other is the perception of what something actually is. So it’s like the reform of prisions the way Dorothea Dix as she thought it should be like and the way some people see how it was then at the time. To me I think idealism is much better because it’s the hope of things being better eventually and the world will be a better place without this problem. It wins in this fight because idealists (to me) are trying to help while realists are just going with the flow. I mean that’s not bad and all but I really think Idealism wins this fight.

This is a weird article. I thought bugs lived on land. I also thought they breathed through their legs or limbs and that’s why bugs were so big when oxygen was 20% higher a few million years ago. My question is how do they breathe underwater and be big? Do they grow lung things in their legs or do they have a really long breath span? This is also interesting because I thought there were no big bugs left in the world. I thought they were all at max a few inches(don’t know how big centipedes are) long at max. Soooooo yaaaa….. this is creepy. This also may be a sign that dinosauric creatures haven’t all evoled to the modern world today. It’s like a living fossil the way it looks. I really don’t know what it is but I think that since it’s near April Fool’s day its not really believed as a true picture. That’s about all I can think of so I guess this is the end.

This may be one of the weirdest job professions I have ever heard of. I mean come on who has heard of horse-teeth “floaters” or A.K.A. horse dentists. How would you like that job? Traveling around to radom places and charging about $50 for a 3-minute routine to file down a horses teeth so it could eat without piercing its gums and mouth. Ughh. That also sounds sort of dangerous because they can kick you and break your legs. Not a job I would go for if I had a choice. I wonder how these people got this job… I mean did they grow up saying “I want to be a horse floater when I grow up!” or is it just the luck of the draw that you get this job? Down to the main problem- Do these people need certification? The side i’d be on would be yes they do. If I had a horse and I needed its teeth filed I would call a person that I know would do the job.
4. What is the stated purpose of the licensing requirements? Is this a vailid justification?
The stated purpose is to make sure people do their jobs safely and without harm to another living thing. To me this is a valid justification because I would want to make sure my horse was safe if I had to have work done on it. I’m also sure many caring pet owners would want a licensed vet working on their animals just like the horse owners want a licensed horse-teeth floater.
6. Are there other ways — besides licensing requirements — for people to find out whether people who provide various services are competent? Explain.
Yes there is but you would probably have to pay for access to a internet database of users compliments or complainents on this one person. There is one simple way to say this….. the internet has everything. Just kidding, I don’t know but that would be cool.
